Our client is one of the reputed mechanical repair shops with experts who are dedicated in providing top-notch automobile and heavy-duty equipment maintenance services in Newman, Australia.

Due to growing demand our client is seeking for Heavy Diesel Fitters / Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join there hard working and dedicated team. As Heavy Diesel Fitters / Heavy Diesel Mechanics, you will be responsible for all aspects of mechanical repair.

Your role would include and not be limited to the following duties:

Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Fitter
* Diagnosing, repairing, fitting and overhauling heavy diesel engines and plant equipment.
* Maintaining, diagnosing, repairing and fitting hydraulic components of diesel–powered attachments such as pumps and injectors.
* Dismantling, repairing and reassembling engines, transmissions, steering columns and other components.
* Using oxy, electric, TIG and MIG welding techniques to fit, replace, assemble and repair metal parts including fabrication of parts, machinery and other equipment.
* Diagnosing and repairing heavy vehicle fuel injections systems.
* Testing repaired parts for proper performance.
* Testing and repairing basic electrical circuits.
* Using computers and specialized tools to diagnose and repair faults.
* Inspecting vehicles and machinery for faults.
* Following workplace Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) protocols.

To be considered for this role you must have the following attributes:

Relevant qualifications (at Cert III) in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent, or a minimum of 3 years' experience as a mechanic
- Repair, service and calibrate components.
-Diagnostic Skills
-Able to demonstrate efficient work practices.
-Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
-Hydraulics/ Pneumatic experience will be highly regarded

This is a full-time position with an attractive salary package of $ 85,000-$ 100,000 p.a on experience +superannuation.
