HRW Partners is seeking a dynamic, detail-focused and career-oriented individual to join our growing team on a full-time basis. This position provides a great opportunity for an experienced General Accountant looking to further develop their skills and career.

You will provide accounting, compliance and financial reporting services across the business, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with company policies, accounting standards and statutory requirements.

To be successful in this role you will have:

●Sound knowledge of accounting standards, taxation requirements, financial reporting obligations and problem-solving techniques.

●Proficiency in Microsoft Office, accounting software (e.g. Xero, MYOB or similar) and financial systems, with strong analytical skills.

●Proactive, client-focused and professional, with the ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Main Duties

●Consult with management and clients to define the scope and objectives of accounting assignments, and prepare specifications for tasks such as budgetary and cost control procedures.

●Prepare financial statements and reports for presentation to management, directors and, where applicable, shareholders and regulatory bodies.

●Undertake or assist with financial audits, and advise on matters such as business acquisitions, mergers, capital financing, suspected fraud and insolvency.

●Prepare and lodge taxation returns and statutory filings for the business, ensuring compliance with relevant tax legislation.

●Examine operating costs, and the organization’s income and expenditure, to identify variances and opportunities for improved financial performance.

●Provide assurance on the accuracy of financial information and its compliance with statutory and internal reporting requirements.

●Provide financial and taxation advice relating to business structures, plans and day-to-day operations.

●Introduce, monitor and report on budgetary controls, and appraise cash flow and financial risk relating to business activities and capital investment projects.

●Maintain internal control systems to safeguard the accuracy and integrity of financial records.

●Advise on, implement and maintain accounting systems and procedures, including computer-based accounting systems, for recording and reporting financial transactions.

●Liaise with financial institutions and brokers to establish and manage funds management arrangements, and with auditors and regulatory bodies as required.

●Reconcile accounts, manage accounts payable/receivable functions and support month-end and year-end reporting processes.

●Prepare management reports, cost analyses and financial summaries to support budgeting, forecasting and operational decision-making.

●Ensure all financial processes and reporting comply with applicable accounting standards, company policy and legislative requirements.

Qualification

Academic Qualification

●A relevant Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in accounting, or a related field.

Experience

●Previous experience: at least 3 year of relevant experience
