The Opportunity

We’re searching for an experienced Handyperson to join our Maintenance team at K'gari Beach Resort, on K'gari (Fraser Island).  Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will undertake preventative and repair maintenance of resort infrastructure and keeping of the grounds. This role requires an eye for detail, ability to work unsupervised, utilisation of power tools, multi-tasking and application of workplace health and safety.  Our ideal candidate has a trade qualification with previous resort/hotel experience.

This is a permanent part-time position working across a broad rostering system of up to 76 hours a fortnight. If you're ready for a sea change and are excited to bring your skills to this tropical paradise, were you work and live at K'gari Beach Resort then we want to hear from you! 

Skills and experience you'll bring to the role:

  • Strong safety focus and experience working in a similar role; ability to work unsupervised. 
  • Hold a relevant trade qualification, certificate or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Diverse repairs and maintenance experience (resort/hotel maintenance highly regarded)
  • Hold an unrestricted Drivers Licence.
