Partner - Business Services & Tax Sydney

Established Accounting & Advisory Firm | Confidential Search

Charterhouse is partnering with an established and highly regarded Chartered Accounting and Advisory firm in Sydney on a confidential Partner-level appointment.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Business Services/ Tax Partner or Director with a pathway to Partner who is looking for more than simply a change of firm.

The business has an established client base, strong infrastructure and a highly capable team, with a genuine appetite to continue growing its private client and advisory offering.

The opportunity could suit an established Partner considering where they want to spend the next stage of their career, or a commercially strong Director who has reached the point where they are ready for Partnership but doesn't have a sufficiently clear pathway internally.

The opportunity 

• Lead and develop relationships with privately owned businesses, family groups, HNW clients and complex corporate groups
• Advise clients across tax, structuring, succession, transactions and broader commercial matters
• Take ownership of a portfolio and its ongoing growth
• Lead, mentor and develop a capable accounting team
• Work alongside an established Partner group with complementary technical and industry expertise
• Play an active role in the strategic direction and growth of the firm
• Develop new business and leverage existing referral networks
• Build out specialist, industry or advisory capability around your own strengths
• Participate in succession planning and future leadership of the business
• Access a genuine equity pathway/ownership opportunity

Who we're looking for

We're interested in speaking with experienced professionals at Partner or Director level within public practice.

Ideally, you will bring:

• CA or CPA qualification
• Significant experience within an Australian Chartered Accounting environment
• Strong Business Services, Private Client and/or Tax Advisory experience
• An established network within the Sydney market
• Experience managing senior client relationships and complex engagements
• Commercial acumen and an ability to identify opportunities beyond compliance
• A track record of developing people and building high-performing teams
• An interest in contributing to the broader growth and direction of a firm
