Your new role
An experienced Civil Designer is required to lead the design and coordination of road, drainage and transport infrastructure projects while supporting delivery of a substantial capital works program.
- Prepare detailed civil designs and drawings for road, drainage, pathway and rehabilitation projects using Civil 3D.
- Deliver concept through to construction-ready designs for transport and infrastructure projects.
- Support the delivery of Black Spot, road rehabilitation and other grant-funded programs.
- Coordinate consultants, surveyors, contractors and key stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
- Prepare technical documentation, cost estimates and project scopes.
- Undertake site investigations and provide engineering advice on infrastructure improvements.
- Assist with project management activities to ensure works are delivered on time, within budget and to required standards.
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree in Civil Engineering desirable OR minimum Diploma Qualification in related engineering field plus relevant post qualification experience
- Extensive experience in civil design, ideally within local government, consulting or infrastructure environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
- Strong experience designing roads, drainage and shared-use pathway infrastructure.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Sound understanding of Australian design standards and engineering best practice.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.
