Freight Handler

About the opportunity
We’re looking for casual AM Freight Handler's to join our diverse and hard-working team at StarTrack Wingfield. With e-commerce booming, our freight handlers are the folks making sure consignments are correctly loaded so we can get deliveries out to our customers, fast. These roles work from 3am anywhere up to 11am between one to five days Monday to Friday - there is a minimum of 4 hours provided per shift. The rate of pay is $42.06 per hour plus 13% super and an additional 30% penalty rate. Flexibility is required to work across the five days of the week.
You’ll be
- Using your strong work ethic to help us keep delivering great service.
- Handloading parcels and cartons from conveyor belts into trucks, ready for our drivers to head out on the road.
- Unloading trucks when drivers get back to the warehouse.
- Wrapping freight by hand or using a shrink wrapper (you know - like the ones at the airport), electronically scanning parcels and updating documentation.
About you
- You’re fit and can lift at least 30kg repeatedly – we assess this at a pre-employment medical check to help make sure you’re safe on the job.
- You’re laser focused, even when the role gets repetitive
- You’re a team player, passionate about helping our team keep the community connected.
- If you’ve got a forklift licence that’s a plus, since this comes handy moving freight around the warehouse.
