Your new company
Our client is a leading Australian organisation with over 300 employees and offices nationwide. Renowned for delivering high-quality electrical engineering solutions, the business partners with developers, network service providers, generators, EPC contractors and key market bodies across the Australian energy sector.
Your new role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing grid connection and registration activities for renewable energy, storage, and major power system projects across the National Electricity Market.
Key responsibilities include:

  • End-to-end management of the Application to Connect and R1 registration process.
  • Providing strategic technical advice on new and existing grid connections.
  • Coordinating and driving Generator Performance Standards (GPS), R1, and grid connection studies.
  • Acting as the key point of contact for clients across a portfolio of projects.
  • Managing stakeholder engagement with AEMO, Network Service Providers, project developers, owners, and EPC contractors.
  • Supporting GPS negotiations and registration approvals with market participants and network stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Degree qualifications in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or Project Management.
  • Experience in a Project Engineer or Project Manager position within the electrical, power, utilities, renewable energy, transmission, or related industries.
  • Exposure to grid connections, power generation, renewable energy, transmission, or distribution projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead meetings and coordinate multiple stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
  • Strong commercial awareness and project coordination capabilities.
  • Experience using Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, or similar project management tools.
