NSV Electronics Pty Ltd is a fast-growing business in Warwick Farm, NSW, specialising in installation of various security systems, including cable systems, over the spectrum of data, voice, electronic safety & security, and audio & video technologies, encompassing optical fibre-, copper-, and wireless-based distribution systems. We aim to be a supplier of choice for security system installation and maintenance in the Greater Sydney Area and regional NSW. NSV Electronics takes pride in being a trusted installer of security systems tailored to the specific needs of our clients.

We require the right person to slot into our team who will constructing and installing timber supports and backing structures for CCTV cameras, alarm panels, access-control equipment, fire alarm equipment and command boxes.

This is a permanent, full-time position. You will be based in Warwick Farm but will require to frequently travel to our customer sites.

Key Accountabilities:

● Read and interpret architectural drawings, construction plans and specifications.

● Cut, drill, fix and assemble concrete, brick, timber, plasterboard and other building materials.

● Coordinate carpentry works with security technicians, electricians, builders and other trades during commercial installation and refurbishment projects.

● Construct and install timber supports and backing structures for CCTV cameras, alarm panels, access-control equipment, fire alarm equipment and command boxes.

● Manufacture, cut, assemble and install timber structures, frames, panels for electronic security equipment.

● Install, modify and repair door frames and associated timber components to accommodate security hardware.

● Construct and install wall frames, partitions, ceilings and bulkheads to provide support for security equipment and concealed cable pathways.

● Install and modify wall linings, plasterboard, panelling, mouldings, architraves and other finishes following security-system installation.

● Install, remove and reinstate flooring for concealed installation of security cables and services.

● Construct and install protective fences, barriers, screens and enclosures around security equipment and restricted areas.

● Manufacture and install protective timber structures and weather-resistant housings for electronic devices.

● Prepare and construct concrete footings, bases and supports for equipment structures.

● Carry out minor demolition and building alterations.

● Perform building repairs and commercial premises refurbishment, including walls, ceilings, partitions, doors, floors and timber finishes following security-system installation.

● Measure, mark out and accurately set out equipment locations, mounting points, openings, supports and cable pathways.

● Adhere to workplace health and safety procedures

Your Application:

To be successful in the role, your application will need to demonstrate:

Essential Requirements:

● An equivalent of Australian Certificate III in Carpentry or higher qualification

● At least 5 years of work experience as a carpenter

● Demonstrated experience with constructing and installing timber supports and backing structures for CCTV cameras, alarm panels, access-control equipment, fire alarm equipment and command boxes.

● Demonstrated experience with installing, modifying and repairing door frames and associated timber components to accommodate security hardware.

● Demonstrated experience with constructing and installing wall frames, partitions, ceilings and bulkheads to provide support for security equipment and concealed cable pathways.

● Demonstrated experience with installing and modifying wall linings, plasterboard, panelling, mouldings, architraves and other finishes following security-system installation.

● Demonstrated experience with coordinating carpentry tasks with security technicians, electricians, builders and other trades during commercial installation and refurbishment projects.

● Ability to work individually and as part of a team

● Valid NSW driver’s licence

●Good problem-solving, decision-making and communication skills

Remuneration:

Appointment to this role will have a total remuneration package of $92,960 comprising base salary of $83,000 plus 12% superannuation.
