Mechanical Building Services Engineer

The Role

You will be responsible for the design, consultant engagement and variations of mechanical building services including HVAC across major constructions projects with defence, federal government, prisons, universities, hospitals, airports, hotels and data centres.  

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be working on Mechanical systems including HVAC, Ducting, Ventilation, Plumbing & Pumps and Hydraulics.
• Design and engineer building services systems and equipment installations over $10 million.
• Engage with stakeholders to identify the best outcome for greenfield, brownfield or refurbishments.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Ensure designs and variations are delivered within scope.

Requirements:

• Proficient in systems such as Revit, Bluebeam, ACAD and Hevacomp.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Strong design knowledge & experience of large HVAC systems, Ducting, Ventilation, Plumbing & Pumps.
• Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• A strong understanding of the national Construction Code and Australian regulations, WELL, NABERS and AG(B)R is an advantage.
• 5+ years’ experience in working in commercial and infrastructure projects.
• 3+ years' experience in Consulting Engineering.
