About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Roofer to join our team on a full-time, ongoing basis, working across commercial and industrial roofing projects throughout the Perth metro area and regional WA. You'll be involved in the installation, repair and maintenance of roofing and cladding systems on a range of large-scale sites.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, repair and maintain metal roofing systems on commercial and industrial buildings
- Install roof sheeting, flashings, guttering and downpipes to specification
- Measure, cut and fit roofing materials to structural requirements
- Apply waterproofing and sealing to roof junctions, penetrations and joints
- Install insulation, safety mesh and associated roofing components as required
- Carry out roof inspections, repairs and maintenance on existing structures
- Install industrial and commercial cladding systems
- Read and interpret plans and specifications to determine work requirements
- Liaise with site supervisors and other trades to coordinate work and meet project timelines
- Work safely at heights using appropriate fall-protection equipment and procedures
- Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian Standards, building codes and WHS requirements
Skills and Experience Required:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience with metal roofing and/or cladding systems on commercial or industrial projects
- Current Working at Heights certification (or willingness to obtain)
- White Card (General Construction Induction) (or willingness to obtain)
- Sound understanding of WHS requirements for roof work
- Ability to accurately read plans, measurements and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Remuneration
This is a full-time (38 hours per week) position offering an annual salary of $75,000 - $85,000, commensurate with skills and experience, plus superannuation.
