An opportunity has arisen for a lawyer to join an established Brisbane workplace team within a highly regarded national mid-tier firm.

Working closely with an experienced Brisbane Partner, you’ll be involved in sophisticated advisory, contentious and regulatory matters for clients across a range of industries. You’ll have meaningful responsibility from an early stage, with the support to continue building your technical and client-facing capabilities.

The Opportunity
Your matters will include:

• Advising on the management of ill and injured workers
• Providing critical incident response services
• Defending prosecutions under safety legislation nationally
• Unfair dismissal, adverse action, discrimination and sexual harassment claims
• Breach of contract and underpayment of wages matters
• Industrial relations issues and Right of Entry disputes
• WHS advice and incident management
• Workplace investigations
• Delivering employment and safety training to clients

About You
You will have minimum 1+ years' PAE, a Bachelor of Laws and a current Queensland practising certificate, ideally with exposure to:

• Employment or Workplace Relations
• Work Health & Safety
• Workers' Compensation; and/or
• General litigation

You’ll have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a practical commercial approach and the confidence to engage with clients and collaborate across practice groups.

You’ll also be comfortable managing a busy workload and tight deadlines, working independently when required and communicating complex issues clearly and in plain language.
