Pearl Recruitment is partnering with a well-established WA business specialising in heavy equipment sales, service and aftermarket support to recruit for Mechanical Fitters.
We're currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for a temporary position based in Kewdale. This is a hands-on role responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing and rebuilding mechanical machinery and equipment to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation within a local workshop.
We are looking for 3 x Mechanical Fitters for a temp position role that will commence on the 7th of September and go for roughly 3-5 weeks.
What's on Offer:
- Temp position
- Commence on the 7th of September
- $56 p/hr + 30% for overtime
- Monday - Friday
- 6.30am - 4.30pm (estimated)
- Workshop based (only)
Key responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical repairs, servicing and maintenance on machinery and components.
- Disassemble, inspect, repair and rebuild pumps, gearboxes, bearings, valves and other mechanical equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out effective repairs to restore equipment functionality.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, manuals and technical specifications.
- Operate workshop machinery, hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Inspect and test repaired equipment to ensure quality and correct operation.
- Maintain accurate job sheets, inspection reports and maintenance records.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
- Work with supervisors, engineers and other trades to complete jobs safely and efficiently.
- Work safely, keep accurate records, and take pride in quality workmanship
Requirements:
- Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter
- C Class Driver's Licence (essential)
- Forklift License (highly desirable)
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical & D&A screen
- Desirable extras: Dogging, Rigging, EWP, Gantry Crane, Confined Space, Working at Heights
