Disability Support Worker - Piara Waters

Our Piara Waters world-class campus has been purpose-built to the highest standards, to support people with Huntington’s disease and provide accommodation designed for people with extreme functional impairment or very high needs.
We are seeking casual Disability Support Workers to join the team. To be considered, you must be available to work at least three weekdays per week. Preference will be given to candidates who can work a range of shift types.
Successful candidates may also have the opportunity to work casual shifts at our supported living site in Warnbro.
Suitable candidates may also be considered for similar future vacancies.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide high-quality care, support and assistance to clients in accordance with their individualised support plans
- Ensure optimal service delivery that promotes choice, independence and quality of life
To be suitable for this role, you must have:
- A Certificate III in Aged Care or Disability
- Experience supporting clients with complex conditions including Huntington’s Disease (desirable)
- A strong commitment to providing safe, high-quality care
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate inclusively with a diverse range of people
- Strong person-centred skills and behaviours when communicating and engaging with clients who have high support needs
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads, work effectively under pressure, solve problems and use resources effectively, safely and efficiently
- A current Western Australian ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence
- A current First Aid and CPR certificate
- A satisfactory National Police Certificate obtained within the last 12 months
- A satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening Check
