Job Description

Overview

As Susquehanna continues to expand across APAC, we are looking for a Corporate Credit Analyst to join our growing Credit Risk team in Sydney.

Working within the Trading Operations team, you will analyse financial information for new and existing clients and institutional counterparties, helping to assess creditworthiness and monitor the firm's credit exposure across the region. You will also partner with Compliance as part of the client onboarding and review process, providing credit analysis to support broader due diligence activities.

This is an advisory role where you will work closely with stakeholders across the business, providing timely credit risk insights to support informed decision-making.

What you’ll do

  • Analyse financial information, including balance sheets, cash flow statements and other relevant financial data, to assess the creditworthiness of clients and counterparties.
  • Prepare written credit assessments and recommendations to support client onboarding and ongoing reviews.
  • Perform financial due diligence and partner with Compliance as required during the onboarding and periodic review process.
  • Participate in the ongoing monitoring of the firm's counterparty credit exposures across APAC, identifying emerging risks and escalating material issues where appropriate.
  • Monitor market developments, company performance and other external factors that may impact the firm's counterparties or credit exposures.
  • Evaluate trends in financial performance and identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Proactively engage with Trading Operations and other stakeholders to understand business needs and provide timely, commercial credit risk advice.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Susquehanna's credit risk management framework.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years' experience in credit analysis, credit risk or a related role within financial services.
  • Experience analysing financial statements and assessing creditworthiness.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial and market information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex analysis clearly.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with SQL or Python is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of financial markets, securities trading or counterparty credit risk is desirable.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong relationships across business and support functions.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing competing priorities.
