Legal Counsel

- Review and negotiate lease agreements and franchise documentation.
- Draft and review commercial contracts and provide legal analysis.

Hairhouse has a unique opportunity for a Legal Counsel with strong property and commercial law experience to join our in-house Legal team at our Support Centre in Doncaster on a part-time basis (Monday-Wednesday onsite).
What You Will Be Working On
Reporting to the General Counsel and working closely with the Head of Property, you will provide legal and property advice to the Hairhouse business across the following areas:
- Reviewing and negotiating lease agreements, renewals and other leasing documentation
- Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date lease register and other administrative records
- Preparing and reviewing franchise agreements and the ancillary suite of franchise documentation
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts and outcomes
- Providing legal advice across property, franchising, commercial, intellectual property, competition and regulatory matters, and trade promotions
- Undertaking legal research and providing legal analysis
What Type of Person Will Be Successful
You will be a highly motivated and driven self-starter with the ability to work independently, as well as part of a small legal team and cross-functionally.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3 to 4 years post-qualification experience in property and corporate law
- Strong property law experience
- Strong legal and practical understanding of the various National Retail Leases Legislations nationally
- Franchising experience will be advantageous
- Strong commercial acumen and excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills and demonstrate high attention to detail.
