The Opportunity 
 
Springfield Vista Retirement Living
 is a vibrant community nestled amongst beautifully landscaped gardens within the Greater Springfield area, offering easy access to Brookwater Golf and Country Club, Mater Private Hospital Springfield, Robelle Domain Parklands, and Springfield Train Station. As a Personal Care Attendant, you will provide high-quality personal care, social support and daily assistance to residents within their Aveo home. Our Personal Care Attendants have a strong focus on wellbeing, promoting independence, building social connection and assisting with day-to-day tasks.  

This is a casual role, helping our team on an ad-hoc basis with covering leave or when we need an extra pair of hands!

Your Impact 

  • Work independently within resident units to provide in-home support including personal hygiene, medication, house cleaning, laundry and more! 
  • Interact with residents within their homes or spend time out in the community completing daily activities (e.g driving them to appointments or light exercise) 
  • Provide care, tailored to the resident's needs in line with their current care plans 
  • Complete simple administration tasks, ensuring resident notes are up to date 
  • Follow all Aveo OH&S policies and procedures and report any safety, security and resident incidents  

What you'll bring 

  • Experience as a Support Worker or a Home Care Worker, with a passion for community care, independence and wellbeing 
  • Friendly, adaptable and proactive attitude, with a passion for being part of a community environment  
  • Strong communication skills, with a genuine ability to build meaningful connections with residents 
  • Medication Administration Certification (required)
  • Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability or Health Services Assistance (required)  
  • Valid driver’s licence + vehicle (required) 
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate and two COVID-19 Vaccinations (required)
