DIDO | Advanced Riggers (CW4) & Crane Operators (CW7)

We are currently seeking experienced Advanced Riggers (CW4) and Crane Operators (CW7) for a major infrastructure project based in Goondiwindi, QLD.
This project involves significant civil construction works including sheet piling operations, barge-based works, riverbank remediation, drainage infrastructure, rock protection, and associated civil construction activities.
This is a major regional infrastructure project with works expected to continue through to late 2027.
Successful candidates will be engaged on a casual labour hire basis for the duration of the project, with the opportunity for ongoing work through a strong pipeline of future projects.

Project Details
- Location: Goondiwindi, QLD
- Roster: 2 weeks on / 1 week off (DIDO)
- Start Dates: 15 October & 22 October
- Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday: 10-hour shifts (6:00am – 6:00pm) 30-minute unpaid meal break
Saturday: 6–8 hours (7:00am – 3:00pm) 30-minute paid meal break
Sundays: Generally no work scheduled
- Accommodation: Shared accommodation provided (3–5 personnel per house)
- Employment Type: Casual labour hire for the duration of the project
DIDO Requirements
- Candidates must live within approximately 5.5 hours driving distance of Goondiwindi to meet DIDO requirements
- Must be available to work the full 2:1 roster
- Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Riggers (CW4):
- Perform advanced rigging duties across civil and marine construction activities
- Assist with lifting operations, steelwork, piling activities and general construction tasks
- Work safely as part of a high-performing project team
Crane Operators (CW7):
- Operate cranes safely and efficiently in a civil construction environment
- Support lifting operations including piling and barge-based works
- Ensure compliance with project safety and operational requirements
Essential Requirements
- Current relevant high-risk work licences and tickets
- Proven experience in civil construction environments
- Marine, piling, sheet piling or barge experience highly regarded
- Strong commitment to safety and quality
- Minimum two references required
Additional Benefits
- $5/hr Productivity Allowance on productive hours worked
- LAHA paid daily
- Travel and distance allowances where applicable
- Overtime penalties paid in accordance with the applicable EA
