About the job
This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a key growth area of one of the world's most influential youth mental health organisations, at a time when demand for evidence-based, scalable solutions has never been greater. Orygen Global's work spans prevention, promotion and early intervention through to service guidance for different contexts and settings.
Reporting to the Deputy Chief, Knowledge Translation, you will:
- Drive Orygen's international strategy and grow its global work through increased resourcing.
- Provide strategic leadership for the WHO Collaborating Centre in collaboration with the Scientific Director.
- Lead and develop a high-performing, multidisciplinary global team.
- Build trusted partnerships with the WHO, governments, international agencies, research institutions and philanthropic organisations.
- Identify opportunities and secure funding for sustainable program growth.
- Translate world-leading research into policy, practice and system reform.
Skills and experience
The following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:
- Internationally recognised leader with a record of inspiring and impactful leadership in youth mental health, mental health policy, public health or a related field
- Proven success securing major funding including, competitive grants, tenders, government and/or philanthropic, for sustainable programs
- Successfully influencing policy, strengthening health systems and translating evidence into real-world impact
- Experience developing and leading high-impact international partnerships and collaborative programs
- Leadership that develops high-performing global teams and delivers workplans on time, on budget and to an exceptional standard
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement and advocacy skills
- Commitment to scientific excellence, equity, inclusion and meaningful partnership with young people and people with lived experience
