Council Labourers

As the weather warms up and daylight savings kicks in, now’s the perfect time to join your local Council and make a real difference in your community!

We currently have multiple vacancies at different locations in:

• Bulk Waste Collections
• Waste Management
• Parks, Gardens & Vegetation Control
• City Presentation

What’s in it for you?
Imagine working outdoors, hands-on, operating machinery, and taking pride in keeping your community in top shape. Whether you're collecting waste or maintaining green spaces, your efforts will have a visible impact every single day.

Do you have what it takes?
We’re looking for candidates with experience in physical, hands-on roles like construction, landscaping, or manufacturing. If you've used tools like whipper snippers, mowers, earthmoving equipment, or heavy vehicles, we'd love to hear from you! A current white card, driver’s licence, and reliable transport are must-haves. Holding a heavy vehicle licence is a bonus.
Why apply now?
We have immediate starts available in multiple roles but they will fill quick! Successful candidates will undergo a pre-employment test, including a functional assessment and drug & alcohol screening.
