KEY POINTS WE FOUND
  • Develop and execute the regional growth strategy for the Reef region of Queensland.
  • Drive volume, margin, and market penetration through distributor activation and grower engagement.
  • Provide agronomic and nutrition advice while maintaining compliance with water quality expectations.

Your Employer

Our client is entering a significant growth phase, backed by the strength and heritage of a well-established Australian agribusiness group. With more than $10 million invested into a state-of-the-art granule manufacturing facility in Queensland, the business produces carbon-based, soil-regenerating fertiliser granules manufactured in-house from recycled organic inputs.

Operating across defined growth regions, the organisation is positioned at the forefront of nitrogen efficiency, soil health and regenerative nutrient delivery. Within Reef catchment areas, this focus carries added importance, as fertiliser recommendations can influence nutrient runoff, water quality outcomes and grower compliance expectations. Queensland Government guidance highlights nutrient and sediment runoff reduction as a key priority for farms in Reef catchments.

The culture is high-performance, structured and science-led. Territory leaders are expected to operate with ownership, commercial discipline and a long-term view of soil, customer and environmental outcomes.

The Role

The Territory Director will develop and execute the regional growth strategy across territory-based broadacre regions within the Reef region of the Queensland Coast. Operating the territory as a defined profit centre, you will drive volume, margin and market penetration through distributor activation, agronomist education and direct grower engagement.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build and execute a regional business plan aligned to growth targets
  • Activate and manage Certified Partner distributors
  • Develop and convert Corporate Direct customer opportunities
  • Deliver responsible, well-documented agronomic and nutrition advice
  • Support fertiliser recommendations aligned to crop, soil and catchment needs
  • Establish and interpret on-farm trials and demonstrations
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, customer records and pipeline management via CRM

About You

You are commercially sharp, technically credible and comfortable owning a number. You understand fertiliser, plant nutrition and broadacre systems, and can translate soil science into practical, profitable programs for growers while respecting the compliance and water quality expectations of Reef catchment farming.

Key criteria:

  • Proven sales or territory growth experience in broadacre agriculture
  • Ability to influence agronomists, distributors and senior decision-makers
  • Confidence providing documented, accountable agronomic recommendations
  • Experience working autonomously across regional territories
  • Strong commercial acumen and forecasting discipline
  • Degree in Agricultural Science or related discipline preferred

The Benefits:

This is a rare opportunity to build a genuine regional profit centre within a well-capitalised, growth-focused agribusiness. You will have the autonomy to shape a Reef Coast territory, backed by structured systems, ERP integration, marketing support and a clear operating rhythm.

Remuneration includes:

  • Base salary plus superannuation
  • Uncapped short and long-term incentive structure
  • Fully maintained company vehicle
  • Business and private fuel
  • Investment in professional development
