About the Role

Are you passionate about delivering high-quality mental health care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others? Nolan House is actively seeking a dedicated Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our dynamic inpatient mental health team. This casual opportunity offers a chance to expand your skills in a supportive and progressive environment. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals committed to trauma-informed, person-centred care and recovery-focused practice.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Conducting comprehensive mental health and physical assessments
  • Monitoring responses to psychotropic medications and other therapeutic interventions
  • Engaging therapeutically with consumers and providing psychoeducation to both consumers and their families
  • Contributing to a safe, least restrictive, and trauma-informed environment
  • Delivering nursing care aligned with best practice and organisational policies
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and upholding clinical governance standards 

Selection Criteria 

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Previous experience in mental health Nursing
  • Postgraduate Diploma, or Masters in Mental Health Nursing (highly desirable but not essential)
