Job Description

Reporting to the Global Head of Infrastructure, Service and Delivery the position has oversight for:

  • Managing a small team of technical staff who reside in various locations across Australia and the UK.
  • Providing strategic guidance and technical support across Navitas' global WAN, LAN, Security, and telephony domains.
  • Actively contributing to project delivery, network upgrades, and identify opportunities for network optimization through automation.
  • Being a technical escalation point for the networking team, offering mentorship, developing documentation, and supporting project management initiatives.
  • Participating in shaping and influencing technology roadmaps, collaborating with other business leaders and external vendors.

Qualifications

  1. 10 years’ experience in IT industry or experience in all aspects of IT at a senior level
  2. Cisco CCNA/CCNP or higher (e.g., CCIE), or equivalent/relevant industry experience, with a strong emphasis in automation (e.g., Python, Ansible) and cloud networking (Azure, AWS).
  3. Advanced knowledge of enterprise LAN/WLAN, VLANs, L2/L3 switching, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
  4. Proficiency in VPN technologies (IPSEC, DMVPN, SSLVPN, AnyConnect) and security solutions (Cisco ISE, TrustSec, ASA, Firepower, Umbrella).
  5. Strong expertise in VoIP technologies (SIP, SBC, Call Manager, Teams Voice).
  6. Experience implementing network automation and optimization using Python and Ansible.
  7. Proven ability to mentor and train team members while serving as a technical escalation point.
  8. Experience contributing to technology roadmaps, engaging with stakeholders, and leading complex projects.
  9. Flexibility to work outside standard hours and willingness to travel locally, interstate, or internationally when required.
