About the Role:

The Services Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the health unit by providing high-quality catering, cleaning, housekeeping and laundry services. This varied and rewarding position is ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in their work, and is committed to providing excellent service to clients and staff.

What We're Looking For:

Essential Criteria 

  • Teamwork & flexibility: Works effectively with diverse teams, staff, and rostering requirements.
  • Communication & customer service: Demonstrates strong interpersonal, communication, numeracy, and customer service skills.
  • Reliability & work performance: Meets deadlines, works under general direction, and assists colleagues as required.
  • Safety & compliance: Understands basic food safety, infection control, cleaning, sanitising, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Practical & computer skills: Has basic experience in housekeeping, catering, and laundry, with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Desired Criteria

  • Qualifications: Year 11 completion and current First Aid certificate.
  • Practical experience: Experience in housekeeping, catering, laundry, and manual handling.
  • Additional skills & knowledge: Basic computer skills and understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity principles.
