Norwest Petroleum is seeking a motivated and experienced Retail Manager to manage the daily operations of our service station and convenience store.
The successful candidate will oversee fuel sales, shop operations, customer service, staff performance, stock control and workplace compliance. This role is suited to a hands-on manager who can lead a team, maintain high operating standards and deliver a positive customer experience in a busy retail environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily service station and convenience store operations.
- Supervise, train and roster staff.
- Oversee fuel sales, point-of-sale operations and cash reconciliation.
- Manage stock control, deliveries, pricing and product displays.
- Maintain high standards of customer service, cleanliness and store presentation.
- Monitor sales, costs, stock levels and business performance.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
- Coordinate maintenance and ensure the site remains safe and operational.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, fuel-handling and company procedures.
Selection criteria
Minimum one year of relevant experience in service station, convenience retail, supermarket or retail management.
- Experience with staff supervision, rostering, cash handling and stock control.
- Strong customer service, communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a busy retail environment.
- Basic computer and point-of-sale system skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends and varied shifts, where required.
- A relevant retail, business or management qualification will be highly regarded.
Salary and benefits
$80,000–$85,000 per year, plus superannuation, depending on experience.
