About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on Trade Assistant to support Mechanical Fitters in a busy workshop environment.
You'll play a key role in keeping our workshop running smoothly — assisting with the disassembly and assembly of customer products, maintaining a clean and organised workspace, and helping ensure every job is completed safely and to a high standard.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Disassembling and assembling engines with guidance
- General cleaning of parts and workshop area
- Painting and final assembly of products
- Packing and preparing products for shipment
- Operating plant and equipment, e.g. overhead crane and forklift
- Ensuring health and safety measures are followed
What We're Looking For
- General mechanical experience required
- Forklift licence required
- Previous experience operating an overhead crane preferred
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- A reliable, hands-on team player with a good work ethic
