Event - Trade Assistant / Labourer

Fetch Recruitment are currently seeking reliable, hands-on Labourers to join a busy team delivering and setting up equipment for events, exhibitions and functions across Melbourne.

This is a great opportunity for people with a construction or labouring background who enjoy practical work, using tools and working across different sites. You’ll be involved in everything from event installations to pack-downs, helping deliver successful events across Melbourne Including the Australian open Avalon Airshow and the F1

Please note: Flexible availability is essential., as work may involve early starts, weekends and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading equipment and hire stock
• Delivering, setting up and collecting equipment from event sites
• Installing and dismantling exhibition stands and panel systems
• Assisting with marquee builds and pack-downs
• Installing and removing temporary flooring
• Moving equipment safely between the warehouse and event locations
• Working with the team to complete installations and pack-downs within scheduled timeframes

What You’ll Need

• Current White Card – essential
• Previous construction, labouring, installation or events experience highly regarded
• Forklift licence advantageous, but not essential
• Good physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual handling
• Confident using basic hand and power tools
• Reliable, punctual and well-presented
• A positive attitude and ability to work well within a team
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends and public holidays as required
