Mining Machine Operators - FIFO & DIDO

You keep the fleet running. This is a permanent seat doing it, out of Townsville.
Most servicing roles in Queensland go through labour hire, on a site three hours from the coast, with a "maybe next year" attached to going permanent. This one is permanent from day one, on a modern surface gold operation, DIDO from Townsville.

Brand new camp. Gym, all meals, accommodation covered. 8/6 days or 7/7 nights.

The work
Servicing across the full surface fleet: Liebherr and Hitachi excavators, CAT 777s, 14M and 12M graders, D9 and D10 dozers, 980 and 988 loaders, water carts, compactor and a couple of Moxys.
Day to day that's scheduled servicing, oils and filters, greasing and fuelling, running the service truck, and backing up the fitters on changeouts. You'll be picking up defects before they become breakdowns, which is the part of the job that actually matters.

Who this suits
Someone with mine site servicing, lube bay or heavy vehicle experience who wants the trade eventually. You'll need a C class licence, Standard 11 or the willingness to get it, and to pass a medical and D&A. HR licence, plant tickets or a trades assistant background all help.

The bigger thing is attitude. Sites remember the serviceperson who does it properly, and this crew promotes from within.
