Retail Pharmacist / Pharmacist (Intern)

Our client is seeking to employ a Pharmacist / Pharmacist Intern to join their team at their pharmacy located in Deception Bay, Queensland 4508. This is a full time position and not suitable for a locum pharmacist.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- To maintain appropriate ethical standards in relation to the Pharmacy
- Dispense prescriptions in accordance with Pharmacy Board Regulations
- Record and complete all dispensing in accordance with HIC Requirements
- Counselling of patients on the use of their prescriptions as necessary
- Report errors, discrepancies or breaches of ethics that may occur in relation to the pharmacy to the pharmacy/pharmacist manager or franchise owner
- Maintain & order dispensary stock in accordance with the pharmacy policies and procedures
- Regular checking of product ‘use by’ dates and the rotation of older stock to the front of stock displays
- Ensure that Dangerous Drugs are handled and recorded according to relevant state regulations
- Supervise the sale and handling of all scheduled medicines, ensuring these are handled correctly, following PSA Pharmacist Only and Pharmacy Only Medicines
- Be available to other team members, where requested, to assist in dealing with customers

- Has a positive working relationship with peers and work colleagues
- Is willing and able to do shift work including working over weekends and on public holidays in accordance with the business trading hours.
- Has excellent communication skills with customers and pays attention to detail.
