Finance Project Analyst

A 6-month temp role with a view to extending to a state government department in Parramatta

A large and highly regarded infrastructure organisation is seeking an experienced Project Analyst to join a major finance transformation program on a 6month temporary contract, with strong potential for extension. Based in Parramatta, this role offers a hybrid working model and the opportunity to contribute to a high-profile enterprise-wide transformation initiative.

Your new role
Reporting into the transformation team, you will support the delivery of a complex Enterprise Financial Management program focused on improving financial processes, governance, reporting and systems across the organisation. Key responsibilities include:

• Gathering, analysing and documenting business requirements across finance, project, asset management and reporting functions.
• Facilitating workshops and engaging stakeholders to identify process improvements and future-state requirements.
• Producing business process maps, requirements documentation, gap analyses and functional specifications.
• Supporting the review and refinement of financial and project master data structures.
• Assisting with the development of governance frameworks, policies, procedures and process documentation.
• Supporting finance systems and reporting initiatives, including enterprise ERP enhancements.
• Tracking issues, risks, decisions and dependencies across multiple project workstreams.
• Developing training materials, business guidance and adoption resources to support organisational change.
• Working closely with business, finance, technology and project stakeholders to ensure successful program delivery.

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience as a Business Analyst or Project Analyst within finance transformation, ERP, process improvement, reporting or business change projects.
• Strong requirements gathering, process mapping and business documentation skills.
• Experience facilitating workshops and engaging a broad range of stakeholders.
• Knowledge of business analysis methodologies, project delivery frameworks and continuous improvement principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience working across finance, reporting, project management, data or asset management environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities within a fast-paced project environment.

  Experience with ERP platforms, enterprise reporting solutions or finance transformation projects will be highly regarded.
