Working within a collaborative Corporate Strategy & Performance team, you will play a key role in supporting procurement and contract management activities across a diverse range of business areas.

Your new role
As the Procurement & Contracts Officer, you will support the delivery of compliant procurement, tendering and contract management processes while providing advice to internal stakeholders across the organisation.Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating RFQs, tenders and contract administration activities
  • Supporting procurement processes in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures
  • Providing procurement and contract management advice to internal stakeholders
  • Investigating contractual issues and recommending appropriate solutions
  • Maintaining procurement registers, databases and reporting systems
  • Assisting with contract compliance, governance and risk management activities
  • Delivering training and guidance on procurement systems, processes and procedures
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will demonstrate:

  • Experience in procurement, contracts administration or contract management
  • Knowledge of tendering and procurement principles and practices
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficiency using business systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Relevant qualifications in procurement, contracts management, business or a related discipline will be highly regarded
