Your new company
Are you an experienced Finance Administrator or Cost Administrator with strong Excel skills and a knack for financial analysis? We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join a busy project finance team on an initial 3-month casual contract, providing immediate support on a major project.
Reporting directly to the Project Accountant, this role will play a key part in ensuring accurate invoicing, cost management, timesheet reconciliation and financial administration across project operations.

Your new role

  • Prepare and process Schedule of Rates (SOR) client invoicing in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Reconcile employee timesheets against SAP labour postings and investigate discrepancies.
  • Process cost transfers, reallocations and assist with project cost analysis.
  • Support month-end reporting, reconciliations and financial administration.
  • Liaise with Payroll, Site Supervisors and employees to resolve payroll and costing issues.
  • Ensure invoicing deadlines are met and billing is completed accurately.
  • Provide ad hoc financial and administrative support to the Project Accountant.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong experience in a Cost Administrator, Finance Administrator, Project Administrator, Assistant Accountant or similar position.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
    • Pivot Tables
    • XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP
    • SUMIFS
    • Data reconciliation and analysis
    • Managing large datasets
  • Proven experience with invoicing, reconciliations and financial administration.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously and quickly adapt to established processes.
