About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Business Support Officer to join a busy and fast-paced Workplace Health & Safety Team, based in Townsville. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who enjoys providing high-quality support services, coordinating travel arrangements and delivering exceptional customer service to a wide range of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide efficient, high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate travel bookings including flights, accommodation, car hire, ferries and charter services.
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including phone calls and emails.
- Maintain accurate records and update information systems.
- Compile reports, documentation, registers and administrative records with a high level of accuracy.
- Develop, maintain and improve administrative procedures, manuals and registers.
- Support the team with general administrative functions and recurring operational tasks.
- Liaise with suppliers, customers and stakeholders to support the timely delivery of services.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous administration experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Previous exposure to WHS is highly desirable
- Previous experience within construction, insurance repairs, engineering or government is highly desirable
- Demonstrated proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
- Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
- A proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A current driver's licence (mandatory)
