About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Business Support Officer to join a busy and fast-paced Workplace Health & Safety Team, based in Townsville. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who enjoys providing high-quality support services, coordinating travel arrangements and delivering exceptional customer service to a wide range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide efficient, high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate travel bookings including flights, accommodation, car hire, ferries and charter services.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including phone calls and emails.
  • Maintain accurate records and update information systems.
  • Compile reports, documentation, registers and administrative records with a high level of accuracy.
  • Develop, maintain and improve administrative procedures, manuals and registers.
  • Support the team with general administrative functions and recurring operational tasks.
  • Liaise with suppliers, customers and stakeholders to support the timely delivery of services.

 
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous administration experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Previous exposure to WHS is highly desirable
  • Previous experience within construction, insurance repairs, engineering or government is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A current driver's licence (mandatory)
