    About the role:

    We are seeking a passionate Paediatric Speech Pathologist to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of preschool and school-aged children presenting with communication disorders. You will deliver ethical, evidence-based services while collaborating closely with teachers, psychologists, and other health professionals.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assess and diagnose children presenting with developmental delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder, social-emotional challenges, learning difficulties, and speech, language, and communication disorders.
    • Develop, implement, and review individualised treatment plans.
    • Manage a caseload effectively, providing therapy within the clinic and, when required, in schools or preschools.
    • Prepare comprehensive reports for assessments, NDIS, and Medicare requirements.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary collaboration, case discussions, mentoring sessions, and team meetings.
    • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in cloud-based practice management software.

    Requirements:

    Essential

    • Membership with Speech Pathology Australia and eligibility for enrolment in the SPA self-regulation program.
    • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience with a diverse paediatric caseload, including preschool and school-aged children.
    • Experience supporting children on the Autism Spectrum and with developmental delays.
    • Current Working with Children Check and driver’s licence.
    • Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance.
    • Strong communication, organisational, and computer skills, with a caring and flexible approach.

    Desirable

    • Expertise in assessment and management of common paediatric presenting issues.
    • Ability to work independently while positively contributing to a team environment.
    • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
