This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing, state-wide pathology service in a vibrant regional centre.
About the Role
As a key member of the Anatomical Pathology team, you will:
- Deliver high-quality diagnostic and consultative services across histology, cytology, and non-coronial autopsy
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and frozen section services
- Supervise and mentor registrars and junior staff
- Contribute to statewide service development and clinical excellence
- Ensure compliance with ISO 15189, NATA, and NPAAC standards
- Engage in teaching, research, and quality improvement initiatives
About You
You will be a collaborative and forward-thinking pathologist who brings:
- Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA) or equivalent
- Specialist registration (or eligibility) with AHPRA
- Demonstrated expertise in Anatomical Pathology, including autopsy and frozen section work
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A commitment to education, research, and continuous improvement
What’s on Offer
- Base salary: \$210,332 – \$266,677 + generous allowances
- Attraction & Retention Allowance: up to 50% of base pay
