Salary: $78,000 to $88,000 per annum (plus superannuation)

Due to continued business growth, we are seeking compassionate, reliable and experienced Aged or Disabled Carers (Disability Support Workers) to join our team on a full time basis. Key Responsibilities

Your duties may include, but are not limited to:

1. Providing personal care, including assistance with showering, dressing, grooming and personal hygiene.
2. Supporting participants with daily living activities and promoting independence.
3. Assisting participants with mobility and safe transfers.
4. Preparing nutritious meals in accordance with individual dietary requirements and preferences.
5. Performing domestic assistance duties, including cleaning, laundry, vacuuming and maintaining a safe living environment.
6. Assisting participants with shopping, appointments and other community access activities.
7. Providing companionship, emotional support and encouraging social participation.
8. Organising and supporting recreational, community and social activities.
9. Monitoring participant wellbeing and reporting any changes in health or support needs.
10. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with organisational policies and NDIS requirements.
11. Providing flexible support, including sleepover or live-in care where required.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must satisfy one of the following:

1. Hold a relevant AQF Certificate III qualification (or higher) completed over a minimum of six months, including at least 120 hours of practical placement, together with a minimum of one year of relevant work experience;

OR

1. Have at least two years of relevant work experience as an Aged or Disabled Carer (ANZSCO Skill Level 4).

Essential Requirements

The successful applicant will:

1. Demonstrate competence in all aspects of disability and aged care support.
2. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including good written and spoken English.
3. Be compassionate, reliable, professional and able to work effectively within a team.
4. Have a sound understanding of NDIS Practice Standards, policies and relevant disability legislation.
5. Hold a current Full Australian Driver Licence (P1, P2 and International Driver Licences will not be accepted).
6. Hold a current National Police Clearance.
7. Hold a current Working with Children Check.
8. Hold a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
9. Hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
10. Hold a current COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate (where required).
11. Be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and public holidays as required.
12. Be available to commence employment as agreed.

Desirable

1. Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
2. Previous experience supporting participants with complex care needs.
3. Additional industry qualifications or specialist training.
4. Current references from previous employers.
