A Big 4 Bank is looking to appoint a Senior Lawyer to join its high-performing legal team.

This is an opportunity for an experienced disputes, employment or investigations lawyer to move in-house, with no prior banking experience required.

The role would suit a lawyer with strong advisory experience and commercial judgement who is looking to broaden their exposure within a large, sophisticated in-house environment.

You will advise on complex and sensitive matters spanning employee conduct, regulatory obligations and broader legal and reputational risk, working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation.

The role
You will:

• Advise on complex and sensitive investigations and conduct matters
• Provide strategic legal advice on regulatory obligations, legal risk and appropriate courses of action
• Assess matters raised through internal reporting and escalation channels and advise on the legal response
• Advise on investigation strategy, process, confidentiality and competing legal considerations
• Work closely with senior stakeholders across Legal, Employee Relations, Risk and Compliance
• Navigate matters involving employment, regulatory, governance and reputational considerations
• Advise on legislative and regulatory developments and their impact on the organisation
• Provide clear, pragmatic advice on sensitive matters with significant stakeholder interest

About you
You will ideally have 3–8+ years’ PQE, with experience gained in a top-tier or leading law firm, or a sophisticated in-house legal environment.
Relevant backgrounds could include:

• Commercial litigation and disputes
• Employment law
• Regulatory investigations and enforcement
• Workplace or corporate investigations
• Other related contentious or regulatory practices

You will be a strong legal adviser with sound judgement, excellent stakeholder skills and the ability to navigate complex and sensitive issues in a commercial environment.
