Are you a hands-on Maintenance Fitter who enjoys fixing, improving and building things?
We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician / Fitter to join our client at their Broadmeadows facility.
This is a varied, hands-on role coveringmechanical maintenance, stainless steel TIG welding, fabrication, equipment repairs and site improvements.
What you'll be doing
- Preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance.
- Stainless steel TIG welding and fabrication.
- Maintenance and refurbishment of tanks, fillers and processing equipment.
- Maintenance of labelling machines and bulk fill equipment.
- Fabrication and installation of gates and site infrastructure.
- Equipment removal, modifications and site improvements.
- Maintaining site maintenance and testing registers.
What we're looking for
- Qualified Maintenance Fitter / Mechanical Fitter or similar.
- Strong TIG welding skills – stainless steel.
- Solid mechanical and fabrication experience.
- Chemical / Dangerous Goods experience is essential.
- A practical, proactive approach to problem solving.
- Someone who enjoys working autonomously and taking ownership of their work.
What's on offer?
- 38 hours per week
- Monday–Thursday: 7:30am–4:00pm
- Friday: 7:30am–1:30pm – early finish!
- Ongoing temporary position with a view to permanent
