Summary

Our client Eclipse Care and Support is a dedicated NDIS provider supporting individuals with disabilities across Adelaide through personalised, compassionate and comprehensive care. Our client is seeking to add an Enrolled Nurse to its professional team to provide safe, person-centred nursing support, promote independence, assist with individual care needs, and contribute to positive health and wellbeing outcomes for participants.

The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Assess participant health needs and contribute to individualised nursing care planning.

• Implement nursing interventions according to approved care plans and professional standards.

• Administer prescribed medications and monitor participants for responses or adverse reactions.

• Record observations, treatments and changes in participant health accurately and promptly.

• Assist multidisciplinary team members in coordinating participant care.

• Monitor vital signs and report significant changes in participants' health conditions.

• Support participants with personal care while maintaining dignity, privacy and independence.

• Provide health education to participants and families to support informed care decisions.

• Follow infection prevention, medication safety and clinical risk management procedures.

• Respond appropriately to medical concerns, incidents and changes requiring clinical escalation.

• Maintain accurate nursing documentation in accordance with organisational and regulatory requirements.

• Promote participant choice, community participation and achievement of individual NDIS goals.

• Communicate respectfully with participants, families, support workers and healthcare professionals.

• Contribute to reviews and evaluations of nursing care plans and participant outcomes.

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role:

• Diploma of Nursing or another recognised qualification suitable for registration and practice as an Enrolled Nurse in Australia.

• A minimum of 12 months’ recent experience working as an Enrolled Nurse in disability, community, or a comparable healthcare setting is mandatory.

• Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the relevant Australian nursing regulatory authority is essential for this position.

• Demonstrated experience delivering safe, person-centred nursing care within disability, community, aged care or similar healthcare settings.

• Strong knowledge of medication administration, clinical observations, infection control and accurate nursing documentation requirements is required.

• Demonstrated commitment to participant dignity, independence, choice and individual goals within a person-centred NDIS service environment.

• Ability to follow care plans, organisational procedures, professional standards and relevant health and disability service requirements consistently.
