Maintenance Fitters

Location: Marrickville, NSW
Day Shift: Up to $57 per hour | 6:00am – 2:00pm
Afternoon Shift: 15% shift loading on top of base rate (up to $65.55 per hour)

We are currently seeking experienced Maintenance Fitters to join a well-established manufacturing operation based in Marrickville. With opportunities available across both day and afternoon shifts, this is an excellent opportunity for trade-qualified fitters with a strong background in industrial maintenance and manufacturing environments.

Working as part of an established engineering and maintenance team, you will play an important role in maintaining production equipment, minimising downtime and ensuring the smooth operation of the manufacturing facility.

The Role

• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across plant and production equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
• Perform general mechanical fitting, repairs and equipment upgrades.
• Assist with machinery installations, fabrication and general engineering works.
• Conduct inspections and testing of mechanical equipment.
• Assist with general site and building maintenance where required.
• Work alongside production, engineering and external contractors to maintain operational efficiency.
• Maintain high standards of workplace health and safety.

About You
To be considered for these opportunities, you will ideally have:

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Fitting or a related discipline.
• Previous experience as a Maintenance Fitter within manufacturing or an industrial environment.
• Strong experience carrying out preventative and breakdown maintenance.
• Experience working with production machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to fault-find and work autonomously within a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
