Based in Blayney, it's a close-knit team where your contribution is visible and valued.

We're looking for an experienced Corporate Services Officer to provide high-level administrative and governance support to the General Manager and Executive Managers, and to help keep the organisation's corporate systems running smoothly.

The role
This is a varied, autonomous position. No two days look the same. You'll work with the Executive Management Team, Council and the Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee (ARIC), and general staff.

  • Maintain governance registers, including legislative compliance, policies, contracts, risk, code of conduct, conflicts of interest and insurance

  • Provide secretariat support for Council, ARIC, and other committees, including business papers, agendas, minutes and follow-up actions
  • Prepare reports and correspondence, and maintain Integrated Planning & Reporting (IP&R) documents
  • Support policy development and review, business improvement and performance monitoring
  • Oversee compliant records management, website and social media content, and internal and external communications
  • Assist with recruitment processes and act for the Executive Manager Corporate Services during leave

About you
You work independently, use sound judgement and keep your accuracy and attention to detail when juggling competing priorities. You handle confidential information with integrity and discretion, and you communicate clearly with executives, elected representatives, staff and external stakeholders.

Essential

  • Minimum Certificate IV in WHS, Governance, Business Management or a related field
  • At least five years' experience in governance, WHS, compliance, business administration or a similar regulatory or corporate support role

  • Strong skills in preparing reports, business papers and formal correspondence
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office and corporate information systems
  • Commitment to confidentiality, integrity and continuous improvement
  • Current driver licence

  • Experience supporting Council, Board or Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee meetings
  • Knowledge of the Local Government Act 1993 (NSW), Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (NSW), GIPA Act 2009 (NSW) and associated regulations
