FMS Group is looking for experienced Drill Fitters to join our WA crews, with opportunities available across Goldfields mining operations.
We currently have two positions available, offering a choice of even-time and longer FIFO rosters, working across specialised Sandvik surface drill fleets.

Drill Fitter - 8/6, 7/7 | Goldfields

Working across Sandvik DP1500i surface drills

Ongoing maintenance and repair work

Must be WA-based
Drill Fitter - 2/1 or 2/2 | Goldfields

Choice of 2/1 or 2/2 FIFO roster

Working across T685/C685 and DE880/DE840 drill rigs
-
Planned maintenance, diagnostics and breakdown repairs

Ongoing site-based work

Experience across these or comparable drill fleets highly regarded
Job Overview
-
Complete scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on surface drill rigs
-
Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical faults across drilling systems
-
Maintain and troubleshoot rotation heads, feed systems, compressors and associated components
-
Inspect and repair drill mast assemblies, rod handling systems and undercarriage components
-
Complete component replacements, mechanical adjustments and equipment inspections
-
Diagnose drilling performance issues and identify mechanical failures
-
Carry out maintenance to OEM specifications and site safety requirements
What We're Looking For
-
Australian-recognised Heavy Diesel or Mechanical trade qualification
-
Previous experience maintaining surface drilling equipment

Experience with Sandvik DP1500i, T685/C685 or DE880/DE840 highly regarded
-
Strong hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical diagnostic capabilities
-
Ability to work independently across breakdowns and planned maintenance
-
Current Australian Driver's Licence
-
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and DAS
-
Strong commitment to safety
