An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Project Manager to join a respected Queensland Government organisation responsible for delivering building and construction projects that support communities across the state. This role offers the chance to lead diverse projects from inception through to completion while managing key stakeholder relationships and ensuring successful project outcomes.
Your new role
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of project delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Key responsibilities include:

• Managing building projects through pre-design, design, documentation, contract administration and post-construction phases
• Coordinating consultants, contractors, project staff and stakeholders to achieve project objectives
• Managing traditional and non-traditional construction contracts
• Monitoring project performance against scope, budget, cash flow, quality and delivery targets
• Building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships
• Leading negotiations with contractors, consultants, local authorities and internal stakeholders
• Identifying and managing project risks, costs and timelines through project reporting and audits
• Supporting financial management activities, including project fee assessments and client billing approvals
• Ensuring compliance with quality assurance processes and project governance requirements

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Experience delivering building or infrastructure projects in a project management capacity
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience managing consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams
• Sound knowledge of contract administration and project delivery frameworks
• Excellent organisational, budgeting and problem-solving abilities
• The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities

Highly desirable qualifications include:

• Project Management
• Architecture
• Engineering
• Town Planning
• Quantity Surveying
• Or a related discipline
