Your new company
An opportunity exists for an experienced Systems Engineering professional to support the development of a major Defence capability. Working within a complex acquisition environment, you will contribute to the definition, development and management of requirements across a large-scale, high-profile program involving advanced platforms, training systems and associated support capabilities.
Your new role
As the Requirements Development Lead, you will play a key role in the development and management of technical requirements across multiple capability streams. Working closely with Defence stakeholders, subject-matter experts and project teams, you will help shape capability outcomes through robust systems engineering practices and stakeholder engagement.
Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing high-quality, traceable functional and performance specifications
  • Leading requirements' development activities across complex systems and training solutions
  • Engaging with stakeholders across Defence, industry and delivery organisations
  • Drafting procurement and contractual documentation
  • Populating and maintaining systems engineering databases
  • Supporting tender evaluation and vendor engagement activities
  • Conducting requirements reviews and risk assessments
  • Presenting technical findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders and governance forums
  • Supporting broader capability development and acquisition activities

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • An active NV1 security clearance
  • Demonstrated systems engineering or requirements development experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Excellent written communication and technical documentation skills
  • The ability to engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Experience working within Defence acquisition, capability development or complex engineering environments
  • Experience developing specifications, requirements and technical artefacts
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills
  • Engineering qualifications will be highly regarded
  • Experience supporting major aerospace, Defence or complex capability programs will be advantageous
