Be Recruitment is seeking an experienced Tender and Grant Writer to support a well-established community services organisation with an upcoming Department of Social Services funding submission.

Much of the content and supporting information is already in place; however, additional expertise and capacity are needed to shape, strengthen and complete a compelling submission.

This is an excellent short-term opportunity for an experienced consultant, someone between roles or a professional seeking flexible part-time contract work.

The opportunity
Working closely with key stakeholders, you will:

  • Review the tender requirements and existing submission material
  • Develop clear, persuasive and evidence-based responses
  • Ensure the submission addresses all DSS criteria and service requirements
  • Draw together program information, outcomes, data and supporting evidence
  • Identify content gaps and work with stakeholders to gather the required information
  • Provide a fresh perspective on the structure, messaging and overall approach
  • Support the completion and lodgement of the submission through GrantConnect
  • Manage competing inputs and deadlines to keep the submission on track

About you
You will ideally bring:

  • Demonstrated experience writing successful government tenders, grants or funding submissions
  • A strong understanding of the community, family or human services sector
  • Ideally experience with DSS-funded programs or family relationship services
  • Familiarity with GrantConnect and government procurement processes
  • Excellent written communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • The ability to quickly understand complex service information and translate it into compelling responses
  • Availability to commence immediately and commit for approximately six weeks

Contract details

  • Initial six-week contract, commencing as soon as possible
  • Approximately three to four days per week
  • Some initial onsite work in Parramatta
  • Flexibility to work from home, with the potential to work remotely once established
  • Engagement through Be Recruitment on an hourly, timesheet basis
  • Hourly rate negotiable based on experience
