WHS Officer
- Support practical safety initiatives across a diverse agricultural network.
- Lead hazard identification, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Roll out and support the use of the Onsite WHS platform.
About the role
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this hands-on WHS Officer role will see you supporting practical safety initiatives across a diverse agricultural network spanning the Riverina through to Narrabri. With company offices in both regions, you’ll work closely with farm, workshop and operational teams to strengthen WHS systems, drive safety awareness and support safe, compliant day-to-day operations.
Duties
- Lead hazard identification, risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Roll out and support use of the Onsite WHS platform.
- Review SOPs, SWMS, risk registers and training records.
- Run site inspections, toolbox talks and safety conversations.
- Support safe plant, machinery, ticketing and competency checks.
Skills & experience
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, or equivalent WHS qualification.
- Site-based WHS experience in agriculture or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and risk controls.
- Confidence working with managers, operators, contractors and seasonal staff.
- Agriculture, cotton, broadacre, almond or irrigation exposure highly regarded.
Benefits
- Expected base salary range of $100,000-$120,000.
