HSEQ Manager | Manufacturing & Quality

$150,000 + super | 12-month fixed-term salaried contract | Canberra
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced HSEQ Manager to join an established engineering and manufacturing environment in Canberra. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on Quality Management Systems, manufacturing quality and HSEQ compliance. You will lead the ongoing management and improvement of the organisations QMS, oversee internal and external auditing, support supplier and production quality, and drive a practical culture of continuous improvement. The role will also support the integration of environmental and WHS management systems.
Essential CriteriaTo be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience within a manufacturing organisation.
- Previous experience in a similar HSEQ, Quality Management or Quality Systems role, with a minimum of three years relevant experience.
- Strong experience managing and maintaining a Quality Management System (QMS).
- Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience with ISO 9001 quality requirements.
- Experience managing internal and external auditing, including relevant auditing training/qualifications.
- Experience across supplier, production and customer quality.
- Strong capability in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and embed consistent quality processes across a business.
- Strong communication, documentation and continuous improvement capability.
Highly Desirable
- Exposure to or experience with AS9100.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.
- Experience developing or working within an Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Experience with receiving/incoming inspection and product certification
