About the role
Roofing 2000 is seeking a Roof Tiler to join our team in Booragoon, WA.
In this role, you will be responsible for the installation of roof tiles and sheeting, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
What you'll be doing:
- Installation of roof materials as in tiles metal, includes cutting, aligning and screwing down
- Install, cut and fix prefabricated flashings
- Install, cut and align roofing material around roof penetrations (Vents etc)
- Install of sisalation/underlay under roofing material
- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, installation details and project documentation.
- Ensure Roofs are left water tight each day to prevent leaks
- Measure, mark, cut, shape and fix roofing materials accurately.
- Complete roofing works in accordance with manufacturer requirements, relevant standards and project specifications.
- Assist with material handling, loading, unloading and site preparation.
- Help prepare job sites by setting up ladders, scaffolding, edge protection, and safety barriers
- Use hand tools, power tools and access equipment safely and correctly.
- Follow all site safety protocols & PPE requirements
- Maintain clean and safe work areas by managing waste, debris, and unused materials.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and a willingness to develop within the trade.
- Follow reasonable directions from Team Leaders, Supervisors and management.
- Work cooperatively with clients, builders, other trades and team members.
What we're looking for:
- 1-4 years roofing experience
- Certificate III in Roof tiling or equivalent qualification (Preferred)
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and best practices
Preferred Training:
- White Card
- Working at Heights (completed within the last 2 years)
- High Risk Work Licence-EWP (Over 11m)
- Valid WA Driver's Licence
- Required roofing Toolkit
- Reliable vehicle
