Project Engineer

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Project Engineer to join a leading civil contractor delivering a diverse portfolio of projects across Adelaide and South Australia.

With a strong pipeline of work across residential subdivisions, civil infrastructure, renewables and utilities, this is an excellent opportunity to join an established contractor. 

The Opportunity
This is more than just another Project Engineer role. You’ll be joining a contractor with a strong presence in the South Australian market, delivering quality projects across multiple sectors and offering genuine opportunities for career development.

Working closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers and Supervisors, you’ll play a key role in the successful delivery of projects from planning through to completion. 

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage day-to-day project engineering activities across civil construction projects.
• Support project delivery from procurement and planning through to construction and handover.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, RFIs, technical documentation and project schedules.
• Monitor project costs, variations, progress claims and budgets.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to the required quality standards.
• Work collaboratively with site teams, clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve technical and construction challenges to keep projects moving.

About You:

• 3–5 years' experience in a Project Engineer or Civil Engineer role within the civil construction industry.
• Experience delivering civil infrastructure, subdivisions, earthworks, roads, drainage or utilities projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project controls and engineering documentation.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work effectively with site and project teams.
• Relevant civil engineering qualifications.
