About the Role

The Communications & PR Specialist supports the delivery of communications, public relations, reputation and thought-leadership priorities across Australia and New Zealand. Reporting to the Communications & PR Manager, the role turns global and regional briefs, local expertise and market activity into high-quality content, media materials and coordinated communications across channels through a consistent tone of voice.

The role works across studios and brands, and with the global communications team, to gather stories, support campaigns and announcements, coordinate media and executive opportunities, and maintain the forward pipeline required for consistent regional delivery. The role activates global priorities in the Australian and New Zealand market while responding to local business, media, sector and studio opportunities.

We’re looking for an exceptional storyteller and communicator with strong media awareness and the ability to turn complex information into clear, engaging content. You bring sound judgement, a collaborative mindset, and the initiative to identify opportunities and deliver impactful communications outcomes.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Communications Delivery – Support the delivery of the Australian communications and reputation plan by translating communications strategies, briefs and business priorities into effective communications activity across media, digital and social channels.
  • Content & Story Development – Identify, develop and create compelling, audience-led content in partnership with project teams, sector leaders and subject matter experts. Support project profiling, thought leadership initiatives, executive profiling opportunities and integrated campaigns through content creation, media engagement and event positioning.
  • Media Relations & PR Support – Support media engagement through research, media monitoring, development of press materials, coordination of media enquiries and nurturing relationships with journalists and industry publications.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including project leaders, sector leaders and clients, to support communications outcomes, secure timely approvals across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Communications Operations & Measurement – Maintain media monitoring and reporting systems, manage media databases and distribution lists, coordinate quarterly reporting and communications metrics, and champion communications best practice across the Australian business while promoting the value of the function.

About You

  • 4+ years’ experience in communications, public relations, media, journalism, content or a related role.
  • Experience in professional services, consulting, architecture, engineering, planning, design or another knowledge-led sector is desirable.
  • Excellent writing, editing, proofreading and storytelling skills.
  • Experience creating content and communications materials for multiple audiences and channels.
  • Strong research, organisation, prioritisation and project coordination skills.
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders, subject matter experts and external contacts.
