  • Job Description

    About Us
Noahs Haven was created because our Director couldn't find the right, genuinely supportive care for her own son, so she built it from scratch. That foundation of real lived experience shapes everything we do.

We are a fast-growing, Bendigo-based NDIS provider delivering vital services across Victoria. We speak plainly, support one another fiercely, and hold ourselves to a high standard because the people we serve deserve nothing less.

If you want your work to feel purposeful rather than transactional, you'll fit right in.

    About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Disability Support Worker to join a small, dedicated team supporting one of our participants who has complex behaviours of concern. Consistency really matters here, and we're growing the team to make sure this participant always has the right people around him, including through the school holidays when support runs all day.

This role specifically calls for someone with genuine experience supporting complex behaviours, this isn't an entry-level or general companionship role. The role will be in the participants home, where a parent is often present. They are relaxed and informal, and this family are looking for support that feels part of the family, not just clinical visitors.

    Current available shifts:

    Tuesday, 3pm - 6pm

    Saturday, 12pm - 6pm

Overnight shifts may be required when regular staff are unavailable, or during the school holidays when there is increased need for support.

You'll also be rostered onto other participants as our team grows, so this isn't a single-client role long term.

    What You'll Be Doing
Providing hands-on, active support to a participant with complex behaviours, this is a genuinely engaged role rather than a sit-and-chat one, and it needs consistent energy and patience

Supporting daily routines including meal preparation and daily laundry

Providing personal care and support with daily living tasks

Implementing an existing behaviour support plan, including restrictive practices currently in place, under guidance from our Director and Clinical Lead

Supporting before and after school routines, weekend days, and overnight shifts (both active and inactive) as rostered

Stepping in to cover gaps in the roster alongside the existing support team when needed

Documenting shift notes and progress accurately

Working collaboratively with the family, the rest of the support team, and Noahs Haven's clinical lead

    What We're Looking For
Demonstrated experience supporting participants with complex behaviours of concern, this is essential, not just preferred

Confidence implementing a behaviour support plan, including restrictive practices, under professional guidance

Patience, energy, and consistency, we're specifically after people who can commit long-term rather than short stints

Openness to overnight shifts, both active and inactive, as the roster requires

Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with a wider support team

A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation

    What You'll Need
A current NDIS Worker Screening Check

Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety and You'

    A Working with Children Check

Confirmation of your right to work in Australia

    What We Offer
You'll be supported directly by our Director, Courtney, a qualified Behaviour Support Practitioner, so you're never navigating complex behaviour support alone. Working within a small, values-led provider means you're not one cog in a large corporate machine, you're a genuine part of the team and, over time, part of a growing roster of participants across our region.

We offer competitive SCHADS award rates, a supportive team culture, and real opportunities to build consistent, long-term hours as Noahs Haven expands.

Apply now to join a team that shows up for the people we serve, and for each other.
